My MUSic

boredom & Romance (aka bdRm) started as a solo project but starting in 2020 Alec Yeager, from my former bands, We Are Parasols and underwater joined full time and we became a duo. We make dark, emotional, shoegaze inspired electronic music.

The new album, Dysphoria, as well as the single, “1995” are out now. A new single, “The Writer”, will be released 1/30/2026.

Hawks Do Not Share (2012-Present)

We Are Parasols meld new-wave synths, thundering industrial percussion, and a sly sense of humor into an eminently engaging slab of static-drenched noise pop. Sometimes we were more shoegaze, sometimes more industrial, and towards the end things got very pop.

LAST ICE (2019-2021)

Last Ice was a collaboration between We Are Parasols and Bloody Knives after our West Coast tour together. The album was entirely recorded and mixed in 2019 but wasn’t released until 2021 due to the disaster that was 2020. It sounds exactly like the love child of the two bands.

Allegra Gellar was a folktronic and post-rock band, usually a trio, sometimes a duo, and very briefly a quartet. Actually we were a quartet twice if you count the six months that we morphed into our alter ego, International Grey. We were based in Los Angeles until 2009 when we relocated to Portland.

underwater (1997-2001)

underwater was four incredibly bizarre personalities coming together to make something magical. We were inspired by trip hop, dub, industrial, shoegaze, 4AD and Spice Girls. Based in the ATL.

Rosewater Elizabeth (1992-1997)

Rosewater Elizabeth was by first band, started just after high school with my high school friends, Melissa, Dan, and Milza. Milza wasn’t in the band very long but the rest of us went on to be very popular in Florida, where we were from, as well as in the 90s ethereal music scene nationwide. We were heavily inspired by all things 4AD, U2, and Peter Gabriel. In 1995 we moved to Atlanta, tried to record an album on our own and things fell apart.
